Program Overview

Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children brings together all the people involved in a young child's early year's-families, teachers, doctors, childcare professionals, caregivers, social workers, and many others-to ensure every child has all they need for healthy growth and development. Our free programs include: a Resource Lending Library; child care referrals; assistance to child care providers to promote effective health and safety practices; early childhood information and resources through newsletters for parents; a Nurse-Family Partnership maternal health program which introduces vulnerable first-time parents to child health nurses; Parents as Teachers which supports positive interaction and child development information through play groups, home visits, and group meetings; Raising a Reader-which partners with eligible child care providers to encourage early literacy skills by holding weekly classroom literacy readings, literacy events in the community and support for teachers and parents; QUEST which works with child care facilities to promote quality care through professional development; child care subsidies to families; and others.
