Program Overview
The Mariposa County Library's adult literacy program is offered free of charge to adults age 16 and older.
Trained volunteer tutors work with learners on a one-to-one basis in the tutoring room at the Library or another public location. Learners work at their own pace to achieve goals they set for themselves, such as learning to read and/or write, getting a driver's license, achieving a high school diploma, U.S. Citizenship or other test. Computer tutoring and computer classes are also available.
All program materials are provided free of charge. Hours are flexible to fit your schedule.
The library is located in downtown Mariposa next to the Mariposa County Courthouse, one street up from Hwy. 140. Call 209-966-2140 or email literacy@mariposalibrary.org for more information.
