Program Overview

Marion County Adult Education offers academic refreshing in reading, writing, and math, as well as, GED preparation instruction and high school diploma courses for adults over the age of 17.

Prior to Covid 19, we offered face to face instruction in all the areas listed above. We have transitioned our instruction to online independent study supported by virtual web class meetings. Our instructors use data from the online study software to identify weak skills and use web class meetings to address those skills. This model has given our students more freedom in their class and study schedule.

Once a candidate completes registration process, they are provided with access to online study software and invited to join web class meetings.

In addition to preparing students to pass the GED or complete a high school diploma, many of our students enroll to refresh their reading and math skills for college or workforce entrance exams.

We look forward to speaking with you soon.
