Program Overview
English as a Second Language classes are offered to adults whose native language is not English and who wish to improve their skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, or grammar. Both morning and evening classes are offered. Citizenship and Family Literacy classes are available to students enrolled in ESL classes.
This GED preparation program allows adult students to practice and enhance their skills in order to pass the official GED exam, which includes 4 tests: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Science, Math and Social Studies.
SCC Connects Pathway ProgrammingStart a new career by enrolling in a FREE 8-week preparation course. Courses are available in the 2 leading industries in our region: Healthcare and Advanced Manufacturing.
Gain the confidence necessary to enroll in college and get a better job!
- Childcare/Preschool is available for Daytime Students only.
- Children need to attend Monday through Thursday 8:30-1:00 pm.
- Childcare/Preschool is available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Children must be 16 months through 5 years old to attend
- Children must be in their classroom by 8:30 each day.
- Parents must be attending ABE classes onsite while children are in our care.
- Parents must enroll in all Family Literacy programming
