Program Overview

Early Intervention Services: Magnolia Speech School provides early intervention services for children with hearing loss from birth to age 3. We provide complete audiological services including diagnostic evaluations. Families participate in a home-based Parent/Infant Program or our Center-Based Classroom Program.
The Hackett-Bower Clinic: The Hackett-Bower Clinic at Magnolia Speech School offers screenings, assessments, and clinical services on an outpatient basis. We offer one-on-one therapy in auditory training, speech/language instruction,
academic tutoring, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
Programs for Hearing Loss: Magnolia Speech School has structured our educational program around the three stages of the student's needs: The Parent/Infant Program, the Self-Contained Classroom, and the Transitional Program. The educational program for each child is designed for the development of communicative, cognitive and social skills, which facilitates the child's integration into advanced educational settings, and ultimately, into society.
Language Disorders Department: Our Language Disorders Department works with children who have
neurologically based language disorders like apraxia, aphasia, ADHA, dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and more.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"Our daughter was diagnosed with apraxia of speech, a condition that makes it difficult to speak. Luckily we found a school built just for children like her — Magnolia Speech School. The specialized classroom instruction and speech therapy services she receives have helped her become a confident, happy girl as well as a great conversationalist!"
– Scott & Maggie, parents of J.H.
