Program Overview

Literacy Volunteers of Chemung and Schuyler Counties (LVCSC) offers one to one, confidential, free tutoring to individuals that live in Chemung and Schuyler Counties. We focus on basic literacy and English language learning. In addition to one on one tutoring, our program also offers free English conversation classes every Tuesday evening. LVCSC is an accredited program of Literacy NY and ProLiteracy. We are housed under the parent organization of the Economic Opportunity Program of Chemung and Schuyler Counties (EOP). Our main offices are located in the EOP's Ernie Davis Family center at 650 Baldwin Street, Elmira, NY 14901. Literacy Volunteers is dedicated to creating opportunity through literacy.
