Program Overview

Literacy Works provides referrals for adult education classes and tutoring services in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Adult education is a broad term that includes ESL, ABE, math, reading, writing, Spanish literacy, financial literacy, and bridge programs, among others. We have a membership network of more than 50 non-profit organizations and schools who offer a variety of adult education and social services. If you or someone you know is in need of adult educational support, please connect with us to find a service provider in your area.

If you're looking for a volunteer opportunity, we can also help with that. We can find you an organization to join, train you to become a successful tutor, and support you with professional development through your volunteer tenure and beyond.

Whether you're looking for education or a volunteer connection, Literacy Works will meet you where you are and find you what you need.
