Program Overview

Strengthening our community through literacy, education, and advocacy in the City of Winchester, Frederick County, and Clarke County. A dedicated and trained group of volunteers provide one-on-one, small group, and classroom tutoring in reading, writing, math, English comprehension, computers, and citizenship. In addition, financial literacy is integrated to support adults with creating a budget, balancing a checkbook, and utilizing online banking. Tutoring is available during morning and evening hours to accommodate varying schedules. We are also the Winchester Affiliate for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in the City of Winchester with expectations of expanding that program to Frederick and Clarke Counties. In addition, we are the fiscal agent for The Winchester Campaign for Third Grade Reading Level and Founding Partner of Winchester Little Libraries.
