Literacy Volunteers in Venice, FL

Program Overview

We have a small office in the Venice Public Library at 300 Nokomis Avenue South in downtown Venice, Florida. Peter Norrman is the Coordinator who will welcome new adult students. Peter works part-time on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 - 1:00 and 2:00 - 4:00. Contact Peter by phone 941-861-1352 or email venice.literacy@gmail.com. If you come to see Peter without contacting him first, he may not be there, so it's better to call or email first. When you come to the Library, someone at the Library Information Desk will take you to Peter's office.

Our program offers classes for adults who know very little or no English and volunteer tutors for all levels of English teaching. We also help English-speaking adults who want to improve their reading and writing skills.
