Program Overview

Family Connections has 2 Literacy Playrooms located in the main Public Libraries of Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights. These playrooms are for families with children ages 0-5. The playrooms contain educational materials designed to foster literacy development for young children. Experienced staff coach and model interactive play for parents/caregivers. Children engage with their adult and the play materials to develop their early literacy skills. Books are available in the playroom and for checking out from the library.
