Program Overview
Possibility Place was formed in 2014 after a community meeting was held to gauge interest in a day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.. We recognized the need for an educational program for individuals who had aged out of the traditional school system. Today we offer facility- and community- based services to 40 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (our Pals). Our Pals range in age from 22 to 57.
We offer classes in reading, math, social skills, vocational skills, creative arts, and current events. These classes are divided into four levels so each Pal receives the appropriate level of instruction. Reading classes are for thirty minutes and are offered Monday through Thursday. We also provide opportunities for our Pals to be involved in the community through volunteer services, attending community events, and visits to the park, the library and shopping centers.

Cost Info
Possibility offers a year round flexible program under which our students may participate in a two day, three day, four day or five day program. The costs attributable to our reading program are $22 per month for the two day program, $33 for the three day program, and $44 for the four day and five day programs. We also offer scholarships.Student and Volunteer Success Stories
We began the PCI Level 1 Program for non-readers in 2021, and the eleven students in this program all have been successful in completing one book. They are now learning words to read a second book. This is the first time any of these students have been able to read at all.
