Program Overview
The Literacy Council is part of the Grant County Unified Community Resource Council. Or mission: The Grant County Unified Community Resource Council exists to assist people, when possible, who find themselves in social need and to provide supplementary and/or complimentary aid to existing services. We assist these persons in the following areas: food, clothing, social service information, EDUCATION, utilities & housing, emergency financial, living and health related needs, job information and referral, and a shelter to domestic violence victims. The umbrella corporation organized in 1987 encourages the unity of services to prevent duplication. It is also responsible for developing additional programs as the needs of our people change.
Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4 PM
Cost info: The Literacy Council provides FREE one on one tutoring for individuals who desire to learn to read, improve reading and/or math skills or need tutoring in preparation to take the GED test.
