Program Overview
Incorporated in 1977, TLC's educational support helps students increase their employment options, secure sustainable employment, seek US citizenship, and be a good school partner for their children. Guided by the mission to provide education for work, family, and life, The Literacy Center is a leader in community-based adult literacy instruction built on accessible, innovative, cost-effective instructional services. Classes are offered for: Pre-GED, Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), Civics for those seeking American Citizenship, Career/Workforce focused curriculum, and Family Literacy.
Supplemental instruction includes; increasing computer skills with a dedicated computer learning lab, Transition Counseling, life skills, health,nutrition and financial literacy classes, and distribution of quality children's books to low income families and children.
Hours of operation: 8:30AM - 6:00PM (Evening Classes are available)
Cost info: Classes are provided without cost however, Students must purchase their own textbook and workbook
