Maysoun moved from Syria to the United States in 2017. She took English classes from Lincoln Literacy and then our CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) prep class. During this time she began work in a medical center but in an uncertified, lower-paid position. Recently, she passed the test and is now employed full-time as a certified CNA! "I was so happy! I didn't believe it, but I did it. I'm so excited to tell people! It will give me more opportunities. I used to tell people I work as a CNA but I am not a CNA, but now I'll say, I am a CNA!"
