LifeWorks High School Equivalency Program

Program Overview

LifeWorks High School Equivalency Program prepares you to pass either the GED or the HiSET to obtain your high school equivalency certificate. Our program offers GED and HiSET preparation, academic tutoring, life skills training, and career awareness. Program objectives are to increase students' academic levels and prepare students for the GED or HiSET exam. Classroom education incorporates small-group learning exercises, lectures, videos, experiential learning activities, and self-paced instruction. Lesson plans are flexible and individualized to meet student's academic needs. Classes are offered year-round at the LifeWorks South Site. Eligibility criteria: 16-26 years of age at enrollment, Travis County resident, and household income at 200% or less of federal poverty income guidelines.
