Program Overview

Lifelong Learners Program:

Valued and Loved Family Outreach provide adult basic education through our "Lifelong Learners Programs." This program pairs with our "Reading Readiness Scholars Program" as we encourage parents to attend tutoring sessions along with their children to improve their reading and make reading fun. Parents, whom we refer to as our "Lifelong Learners" are taught the five pillars of early literacy below:

1. Sounds and Word Recognition: The ability to associate sounds with words
2. Phonics: The ability to sound out words
3. Fluency: The ability to read with speed, rhythm, and cadence
4. Vocabulary: The ability to understand word meanings
5. Comprehension: The ability to understand what is read and retain information

Parents also learn to read by attending tutoring sessions with their child.

Cost Info

All programing is free for children. However, a program material cost may be required, depending on the child's learning requirement.
