Program Overview
English as Second Language (ESL) Class
Learners practice their English conversational, written and grammar skills with class material ranging from topics related to work, health, transportation, community etc. These classes are held on different times and locations- Glenview School and MACSA Family Literacy Center located at South Valley Middle School. Learners can choose the location and time at their convenience.
English-Technology Fast Track Class
One of a kind, this class uses blended learning methodology. Trained tutors use Tablets (Android/Apple) and help learners develop vocabulary/reading skills and content development skills. Using latest mobile apps, learners become aware of the technological advancements taking place in today's tech-world and they learn to use it for improving their English language skills.
Cost Info
$25 supports a dictionary and learning materials for a learner. $50 supports tutor training for one volunteer. $100 provides books for a family with young readers. $250 sponsors a workshop for 10 learners. $500 sponsors a workshop for 20 learners or tutors.Education services
