Program Overview

Learn & Play Treasure Chests are an innovative early childhood education program designed to enhance kindergarten readiness through classroom and family engagement. The Treasure Chests equip preschool educators with high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials, hands-on learning tools, and OCCRRA-approved professional development opportunities that directly support Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards. To extend learning beyond the classroom and foster family involvement, WGTE Public Media will host quarterly Family Nights for all participating classrooms. These events are designed to educate and empower parents/caregivers to support their child's learning journey at home using accessible, play-based strategies.
