Laurel County Adult Education provides free instruction for adults in basic skills, workplace readiness, GED preparation, college preparation, and English for speakers of other languages. LCAEL hosts a Peason Vue GED Official Test Center. Exams are discounted for our students.
The mission of Laurel County Adult Education and Literacy is to provide adults with the opportunity to improve their basic skills in order to achieve personal, educational and vocational goals. We believe in a student-centered approach to learning that encourages adults to formulate their own goals enabling them to achieve their fullest potential as members of our community. We provide volunteer experiences that strengthen community bonds through education and service. We advocate for and support adult education efforts on a local, state, and nationwide basis.
Hours of operation: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday -Thursday & Fri 9 am- 2pm
Cost info: Instruction is provided free of charge. Official GED Exam is discounted.
