Program Overview
The La Vista Public Library partnered with this GED program in 2014 and started funding the program in 2016. This drop-in program boasts three volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts for the betterment of the students. The program is geared towards the individual: there is individual and class instruction based on the student's need and ability level, the student sets their own schedule/pace during the designated program times, and the instruction takes in to consideration the preferred learning style of each student.
Persons with a high school diploma from an unaccredited high school or a high school out of the country are eligible to take the GED tests.
Cost Info
The only cost associated with this program is the cost of the official GED test. Materials, practice tests, and school supplies are all provided including graduation gowns.Student and Volunteer Success Stories
