Kids Read Now

Program Overview

Kids Read Now partners with schools and districts to enroll their K-5 students. We allow those students to self-select books from our wishlist. Our wishlist is our annual rotating list of 130+ titles picked by our literacy team. Starting at the beginning of summer break, we have a Family Reading Event to officially kick off the summer program and we start mailing books home to the students. The books arrive one at a time, addressed to the student, all summer long to make sure the student has fresh, fun, captivating reading material. Every week, we connect with the parents to make sure their student is reading. We encourage parental engagement and include Discovery Questions inside every book. Best of all, the kids keep all the books they picked to build their home library.
