Program Overview
The Braille Transcription Training Program is geared to instruct in the fluency of Braille reading and writing for individuals who are blind. The training is also afforded to individuals who are sighted intent upon using the skills to benefit a person who is blind. The over all purpose of the training is to become Braille literate.
Hours of operation: 9 AM to 5 PM
Cost info: Tuition is $1,350.00 per semester. Each semester is 12 weeks. The total cost of the tuition is $5,500.00. Each graduate is completely literate in Braille reading and writing, use of computer software and hardware programs designed for learning to use Braille. Also, the use of manual Braille writing equipment.
