Program Overview

The purpose of this program is to support the reintegration of youth from federal corrections or supervision agencies into the community through educational and vocational strategies as well as the community of practices to ensure they become less dependent on federal and state subsidies and services and reenter the workforce. To achieve this goal, the Kadiwaku Foundation proposes to provide training that helps program participants acquire workplace-specific knowledge and skills to improve their chances of advancement for future career goals.

Another focus of the program is to help students whose English level is not at the appropriate level for work. Our free English classes will help them improve their English skills for work, college, and their daily lives, as well as additional supportive services to immigrants including CT DMV driver's license examination and training to prepare them for the naturalization test and interview.
