Program Overview
JustUs Community RootED Ag Academy is a hands-on learning program for youth and adults who want to grow food, learn new skills, and build a better future for themselves and their community.
Participants learn how to grow healthy food, care for the land, and turn farm products into small businesses. The program also teaches basic job and life skills, like teamwork, problem-solving, and planning for income. Classes and activities are designed for beginners—no farming experience is needed.
The Academy is part of the JustUs Community Resilience & Revitalization Hub. In addition to farming, students can explore training in construction, broadband, and small home-based businesses. This helps people move from learning skills to earning income and becoming more independent.
The program is open to local residents, including youth, adults, families, and volunteers. Activities take place in the community and are focused on helping neighbors learn, work, and grow together.
