Program Overview

Joyce's Legacy Learning Center is a place where adults can come to earn their GED and build a better future.

Our program is open to adults who did not finish high school and want a second chance. We welcome students from all backgrounds. You must attend an in person GED orientation before starting.

We offer free GED preparation, practice tests, and support every step of the way. Students study online using approved learning programs and must study at least 90 minutes a day. We also offer TABE testing, civics test support, and one on one coaching to help students stay on track.

Our center is located at 5601 West North Avenue in Milwaukee. We provide a safe, welcoming space for learning and testing. Community members can also volunteer or partner with us to support adult learners.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

Natasha is a proud mother of nine children. For many years, she focused on caring for her family. Then she made the brave decision to finish her education.

She came to Joyce's Legacy Learning Center ready to work. She studied daily, stayed committed, and did not give up, even on the hardest days.

After earning her GED, Natasha was named GED Graduate of the Year by GED Testing Service and was also recognized as Literacy Learner of the Year. Her story inspired our students, staff, and community.

Natasha shows her children and others that it is never too late to reach your goals. With hard work and support, anything is possible.
