Jones County Family Connection

Program Overview

Jones County Family Connection collaborative serves as the local decision-making body, bringing community partners together to develop, implement, and evaluate plans that address the serious challenges facing Georgia's children and families. Controlled at the community level, Family Connection is a statewide network of Georgia counties committed to improving results for children and families through broad-based community collaborative efforts. The community collaborative is a public/private partnership comprised of local business leaders, civic organizations, faith-based representatives, schools, local elected officials, public and private service providers and concerned citizens. Each county collaborative develops, implements and evaluates their community plan designed to ensure:

Children are healthy
Children are ready to start school
Children are successful in school
Families are strong and self-sufficient
Communities are strong
