Program Overview
IWRC is a community-driven space of support for refugee and immigrant women. We focus on: adult education, health literacy, workforce preparation, family literacy, and community building. Each focus area overlaps, and if these areas are addressed, the benefits extend not only to women but to their families and communities.

"I am Anastasiia Kravtsova from Mariupol, Ukraine. I was forced to flee from my city and country because of the war, and now I live in Latvia. I am a lawyer by education and a couple of years ago I used to work for sad-famous Azovstal Iron and Steel plant. Now I work for UNDP Ukraine, and what fascinates me the most in my work is that all the efforts we put in are for the building resilience of my country during the most difficult period of its history and for serving the people of Ukraine.
So, today I need English both for my work and personal life. I am happy to have the opportunity to learn English in the framework of the International Women Resource Center project. I am grateful to our tutors for the great atmosphere during the classes, their deep knowledge of language and ability to explain all the topics in a simple and understandable manner, while making a lot of examples from daily life. We have a lot of different activities during the classes, starting from learning grammar topics and live discussions up to different competitions and quizzes. I'd say we study while having fun!"
