Program Overview

The solution to the illiteracy epidemic, and best approach to overcome emotional blocks and digital access is family learning.
The strongest overall motivator for most adults is to create a better life for their children and for others in their families.
The strongest motivator for children is to please their parents.
By leveraging that reciprocal motivation, family learning can change literacy outcomes for both adults and their children.

Interactive Family Literacy includes a full suite of family engagement features to maximize utilization and impact:
1. Shared login screens that encourage learners to login together,
2. Shared goal setting to help family members help each other achieve mastery,
3. Parent advice videos that help parents help their children learn,
4. Collective mastery: every activity completed by learners working together gives each of them individual credit in the program, and

5. Family reports that show every family member each other’s progress.
