Program Overview

In-Person Classes

We offer in-person ESL classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels for adult learners. To enroll in a class, students must first register for an ESL Intake Appointment. During the appointment, students will take a short placement exam and then register for a class or join the waiting list. Class days and times will be shared at the Intake Appointment. Classes meet for two hours, once a week, for 11 weeks.

During open registration, register for an intake appointment in one of three ways:

• In person on the second floor of the library
• Online at esl-itpld.youcanbook.me
• Call us at 847.459.4100 extension 3 for the Adult Services Department

ESL Lab Services

Stop by the ESL Lab on the second floor of the library and use our computers to learn English on your own time. Library staff and volunteers are available to assist you. The ESL Lab is open to all English language learners; you do not need to be enrolled in a class to use the Lab.

• Monday 4-8 pm
• Tuesday 1-5 pm
• Wednesday 4-8 pm
• Thursday 1-5 pm
• Friday 9 am-1 pm
