Program Overview
The Back on Track Adult Literacy Program (BOT-ALP)
endeavors to provide homeless adults with basic skills needed to become productive citizens and workers to improve their quality of life.
The BOT-ALP will tutor homeless adults (21 or older) reading
below the fourth grade level in the New Orleans metropolitan area.
BOT-ALP will introduce basic comprehensive Reading, Language, and Mathematical skills to homeless individuals; to reinforce and review those skills; to consistently build new skills that increase their literacy level; to enhance the lifestyles of homeless individuals endeavoring to improve their ability to read
and write; to develop reading and writing skill;, and to improve upon already learned skills.
