Program Overview

Helping at-risk children learn to read proficiently helps solve the root cause of most problems facing our nation, such as poverty, hunger, crime, drug abuse, homelessness, etc.

Our highly successful volunteer reading tutoring/mentoring programs combine both printed books and eBooks to allow students at an elementary school and on-line volunteers located anywhere to simply click on the same link on their computers. They communicate through their computer's microphone and speakers. The system can automatically display the same page of an eBook on the computer screens of the student and the remote volunteer, or they can use the paper books. The system adapts to the needs of most schools and reading volunteers.

We have now removed the obstacles to recruiting sufficient numbers of tutors/mentors caused by geographical limitations.
