Program Overview
Hayes Academy of Innovation Family Literacy Program offers family literacy night workshops where children and their caregivers learn together. Families participate in shared reading activities, hands-on literacy lessons, and guided practice that shows caregivers how to support reading at home. Workshops support early readers, struggling readers, and children with learning differences such as dyslexia. The program is open to families in the community and is offered during scheduled family literacy nights throughout the year. Parents share that they value the opportunity to learn alongside their children in a hands-on, engaging environment. Families report increased confidence in supporting reading skills and appreciate that learning feels approachable, collaborative, and fun rather than stressful.
