Program Overview
Hands That Make A Difference is a non-profit community-based organization in Harlem that strives to provide students with a healthy and engaging learning environment. Our program offers many different things for kids, young adults, and seniors. For youth aged 5 to 24, we have after-school activities, Saturday fun, summer camp, job readiness, as well as support for students annually in pre-GED educational services and computer classes. These include help with homework, cool science and technology, music, sports, and ways to stay safe. We assist with emergency housing, job security, learning ways to improve math and reading levels, and childcare for young adults and seniors. We hope to provide a space for all ages to succeed. Our program strives to be accessible for all by providing both in-person and online services. We welcome volunteers to help us make a positive difference in our community.
