Program Overview

Gulfstream Early Learning Center is a Broward County Public Schools hub for early childhood education, community services, and family supports. We provide high quality Adult Education (ESOL, GED, ABE), early care and education for children ages 0-5 (Early Head Start, Head Start, VPK, PreK ESE), and intergenerational, community focused, family strengthening services and professional learning for early childhood stakeholders throughout Broward County.

  • Early Childhood Education: Comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low income and special needs children and their families. Current enrollment ranging from infants, toddlers, and Pre-K (children ages 0-5).
  • Hispanic Unity of Florida: Full-service staff on site with programs supporting Gulfstream and Broward families, including Family Strengthening, Social Services and Mental Health, financial literacy and independence, citizenship, nutrition education, income tax preparation, first time home buyers, and life skills training.   • Family and Community Engagement: Services offered directly in the Gulfstream ELC Family Strengthening Lab, include family groups and learning opportunities, resource referrals and service connections, and access to washing machine and dryer, computers, and lending library
  • Additional services include Broward College Early Childhood Education classes, Jay's Closet Clothing Bank, Community Connections, Mobile School Pantry, and Early Education Professional Development.

Cost Info

Costs for Adult ESOL and GED Classes: $30 per semester Activity Fee: A $20.00 Student Activity Fee is charged one time per person, per campus, per school year. This fee is used to offset the costs of providing school security and campus-related activities. Assessment Fee: A $15.00 Assessment (testing) Fee for ABE/GED® and ESOL testing is charged.
