Program Overview

This is a family literacy program, which will focus on parents who are learning English. Children and parents will work together in reading and writing activities led by instructors. In addition to books, computers and tablets, much of the instruction will be given through the arts, including crafts, cooking, music, dance and games. Children will get reading and writing practice, while the parents will improve their English skills. Also, in the event that all families are Spanish speakers, the class will also work with the parents to help improve their children's reading and writing in Spanish as another component of the program.
