The Glen Edward Kuumba Foundation's Mission: To support literacy that informs individuals on Black Excellence and leaders from culturally diverse backgrounds.
In-person events offer storytellers with lived experiences and open discussions at the Arcata Farmers in Humboldt County and the local school to improve racial equity and provide cultural knowledge.
Youth, families and adults:
We can offer sister mentor/brother mentor weekly to support upper mobility in literacy, We also offer nutritional snacks and exercise. The mentor program is offered to students K-18 to improve educational retention, build identity and improve social communication. We recognize that some students may need extra support.
