"Generations in Pages: A Me & You Read Together Initiative

Program Overview

Generations in Pages is a special program that helps kids and adults read together! We welcome children, parents, grandparents, and guardians to join us for fun and engaging reading sessions. This program is perfect for families who want to improve reading skills, grow closer, and share stories that inspire and teach valuable lessons.

Each session includes:

• Read-Aloud Time – Parents and children take turns reading and discussing books.
• ✍ Fun Literacy Activities – Writing, storytelling, and games to boost reading skills.
• Faith-Based Lessons – Scripture and uplifting stories that strengthen family bonds.
• Take-Home Resources – Books and activities to keep the learning going at home.

Summer reading kits and adventures is what we're trying to add to this summer reading circle.

Our program is open to all families in the community and takes place at 1060 Chambers Rd. Saint Louis, Missouri 63136. Join us to read, learn, and grow together.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

As a 8th grader last summer, I joined the Summer Reading Club and private reading sessions, and it was amazing! My favorite book was The Wizard of Oz because it led to me and my mom watching the movie together and bonding more. In the private sessions, I loved learning about different book genres and discovering what I really enjoy. The program helped me read faster and understand stories better, which made me more confident in school—I even have an A in all my reading-related classes now!

The best part of the Summer Reading Club was exploring new books I'd never considered before, and I even made some new friends along the way. Reading has become an activity I genuinely enjoy doing every day. This experience not only made me a better reader but also gave me memories I'll always treasure.
