Program Overview

The Scranton-Lackawanna Human Development Agency (SLHDA), Inc., is a large, unbrella community-based organization that provides services to hundreds of low income individuals and children each year. Program s include Workforce Investment Act training and services, Head Start and early childhood programs, home weatherization, chore service, food distribution, and welfare retraining projects. Computerized GED instructionm, computer training/usage classes, and one-on-one tutoring is available.
