Program Overview

Garrett College has provided adult education for over 25 years. We offer both day and evening classes at multiple locations throughout Garrett County. Students must attend an Orientation and Assessment session prior to enrolling. Instruction is individualized to support learners testing at the elementary, middle, and secondary school level. TABE and GED Ready assessments are used to customize instruction for each students. Content specific instruction is used for students needing to only pass one or two exams. Our classes are small with usually only 6 to 9 students. We also offer an ESL program. Our instructors are experienced and understand the challenges adult learner face with they return to school. An interactive and support environment is our goal along with setting clear expectations for our students.
