Program Overview

The Leona Tate Foundation for Change [LTFC] offers literacy and English language services for 15 to 30 adults twice a week (Wednesday-Thursday) at the Lower Ninth Ward Living Museum, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The program provides adult basic education (5th grade and up) and GED preparation (9th grade and up). The program focuses on engaging participants in active learning through small group discussions, practice and collaboration between participants.

Students will be invited to participate in a series of dialogues about the Civil Rights history in New Orleans.
