Program Overview

Individuals are tested and scheduled for classes in language/writing, math, science, social studies and computer based on their needs and strengths. They develop a schedule to meet their needs i small group instruction and tutoring sessions.In addition, weekly empowerment sessions are held for all participants focusing on life skills such as budgeting, using credit, resume writing, interview skills, etc. Students take a computer based practice test to determine readiness. Those who score at a passing rate receive some assistance to pay the state fee to take the GED. We are located near Rogers High School. Mentoring is available for those who are interested. Students must commit to regular attendance in order to remain in the program. We are on a TARTA bus line.
