Program Overview

The Conneaut Public Library has on-going programs that fulfill our mission of barrier free access to information and family literacy. Making sure our primary students are prepared for, and can pass the 3rd Grade Reading test is one area of extreme focus. To this end, we take a whole-family approach. Children need reading materials in the home and need to see parents and care-givers modeling behavior conducive to building grade-level readers. In addition, we have trained staff and a vast amount of resources and community partners to ensure people of all ages have the materials necessary to study for and pass GED and other educational advancement exams.
