Program Overview

Fresno Adult School, the largest in Central California and the flagship for adult education in the San Joaquin Valley, affords each and every adult in our community a unique opportunity to engage in lifelong learning.
Here, at Fresno Adult School, we offer a wide array of courses and programs in the areas of High School Equivalency (HSE) including (GED and HiSET), English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), Career technical Education (CTE), High School Diploma, and Community Education. Students at Fresno Adult School are challenged and grow academically with the focus on transitioning to the workplace or postsecondary education. Great things are happening at Fresno Adult School.
Fresno Adult School continues to strive to provide the highest educational experience for our students. Our high school credit recovery classes are A-G approved (for entry into California State University and University of California campuses). The CTE, CNA and LVN programs have a passage rate in the 90th percentile. Our Adults Transition Program (ATP) provides support to students seeking higher education options by working with our local community college partners. Finally, over 2,000 Fresno Unified parents take our ESL classes to improve their language skills that enable them to help their students.
Our Board of Education stands firmly behind a set of core beliefs that all students can and must learn at grade level and beyond. We are committed to high quality instruction, to strong district leadership that is courageous, to providing a safe and secure learning environment and to sustaining a culture that will produce breakthrough results.
I want to assure you that the staff at the Fresno Adult School are committed to supporting and guiding you as you pursue your educational goals. There is no better time to enroll than now!
