Program Overview
The Fort Worth Public Library has 21 locations across the city to help meet your needs. All library classes and services are free and open to the public. Fort Worth Public Library offers classes and tools to help you:
- Learn to speak English or Spanish
- Learn to use a computer
- Find a new job
- Prepare for the US Naturalization exam
- Earn a GED
- Prepare your child for Kindergarten
- Support your child's learning at home
Our ESL classes teach adults to speak English in a fun and friendly way. Each weekly class includes activities designed to teach new words, explain American culture, and help you meet other people learning to speak English. This class is offered in-person at most library branches and online via Zoom.
The Library offers Spanish-language morning and evening GED prep classes via Zoom. You can attend a live information session to learn more about the class and earning your GED. All GED prep classes and information sessions are held in Spanish only.
All full-service Library locations offer computer classes and help finding a job. They also provide many educational programs for children and teens (specific offerings vary by location).
