Program Overview

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) at Florida A&M University is a federally funded program by the US Department of Education. We provide FREE counseling and assistance to adults ready to begin or resume the journey toward their educational goals-- whether that's a four-year college degree, an associate's degree, or technical training to enhance their career.

EOC services include training sessions to help adults prepare for college, assistance with the college application process, financial aid advising, and career guidance. Our services also include covering the cost of the first GED exam. We also provide free ACT/SAT workshops for our participants and loan default resolution services.

Our program serves individuals in seven counties: Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Franklin, Liberty, Wakulla, and Madison.

The Educational Opportunity Center is a federally-funded TRIO program that provides support for adult learners that would like to attend or return to college. There is no cost to participate in our program We also provide assistance to veterans and/or their spouses and dependents. Services are also provided for high school juniors or seniors not served by another TRIO program.
