Program Overview

The Family Literacy Project began in 2013 through the Finney County Community Health Coaltion to support local education and health needs in a neighborhood where residents did not have access to other programs available in the community. An apartment was rented in this local neighborhood and serves as the classroom space and provides other agencies in the area opportunities to utilize the space for outreach to this community. ESL classes are provided Mon-Thurs from 1:00-3:30, and parents with children can bring them to class and receive childcare for those ages 0-2 and early childhood education for those ages 3-5. Parents and children also participate in weekly parent engagement acitivities.

Cost Info

We are affiliated with Garden City Community College Adult Education to utilize their testing materials. There is a $50 yearly materials fee that is required. Students can request waivers for financial hardship or set a payment plan if needed in order to make payment.
