Family Learning Studio

Program Overview

The Family Learning Studio, from the Collaborative for Teaching and Learning, brings children and their parents and caregivers together to learn side by side. Families meet for 90 minutes once a week for several weeks to build literacy skills through the arts. Parents and caregivers receive helpful resources and learn simple strategies they can use at home to support their children's reading and writing. Children take part in creative literacy activities based on CTL's Artful Reading on the Go resource, which was created by experts in literacy and the arts. Programs may serve children from preschool through grade 8 and usually take place at our Louisville offices, unless noted otherwise.
