Program Overview

Program offerings include the following:


Career Pathways Explorations and Trainings (CPET)

Job Shadowing/Internship/ Apprenticeship

Participants learning experience in this program will provide them with the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the responsibilities and expectations of a specific career through hands-on learning. Programming includes resume writing, job interview skill development and the appropriate use of other social capital skills as needed for careers.

Workplace Literacy

Workforce literacy courses are designed to meet the needs of local employers and enrolled participants. Social capital skills, computer literacy, academic skills and other work readiness skills are addressed.


Transitions to College

Qualified participants may enroll in this course concurrently while enrolled in other Adult Education courses. The course is designed as a general orientation and transition to college program whereby participants will begin to explore and understand the college environment, learn to identify and utilize campus & community resources to enhance the academic experience.


General Adult Education

This course equips students with the skills needed to strengthen reading, writing, mathematics, and computer literacy abilities so they are prepared to enter postsecondary and/or the workforce.


High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC) Preparation

Students work towards academic readiness for their High School Equivalency Certificate. Topics include:
  • Reading and Writing
  • Social Studies
  • Science & Mathematics


English Language Acquisition (ELA) Program

These courses are designed to help eligible individuals who are English language learners achieve competence in reading, writing, speaking, comprehension of the English language, mathematics, and EL Civics so that they are prepared to enter postsecondary and/or the workforce in the United States.
