Program Overview

The weekly Adult ESL class will be given by our High School English to Speakers of Other Languages teacher who has been a teacher at Equality Charter High School for 4 years. The class is specifically designed for family members of our students who are eager to improve their English language skills. This one-and-a-half-hour class will take place once a week throughout the Spring, with a minimum of 15 classes, and is open to learners ranging from beginners to intermediate levels. The course will accommodate up to 30 participants, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning experience.

With a focus on practical communication, the course will help parents and family members build the confidence needed to engage in everyday conversations, particularly those related to school, parent-teacher conferences, and their children's education.

Additionally, the course will be tailored to meet the unique needs of our community, addressing participants' interests, aspirations, and current language abilities. By joining this class, attendees will have the opportunity to strengthen their connection to the school community, enhance their daily interactions, and achieve their language learning goals in a supportive environment.
