Program Overview

The Envision Vision Rehabilitation Center (EVRC) is the only institute in the Midwest providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary vision rehabilitation by combining low vision assessments and treatments, assistive technology and training, occupational and physical therapy, orientation and mobility training, Braille instruction, behavioral health counseling, and home-based services. Because Envision believes that everyone deserves access to blind and low vision services, we treat individuals at EVRC regardless of ability to pay. Most insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid, define blindness and low vision as "marginal disabilities" and do not cover many of these treatments and services. EVRC provides blind and visually impaired individuals with low vision assessments, access to assistive technology, rehabilitation, orientation and mobility training, and Braille instruction to improve their quality of life.
